This exceptional coffee comes from the Mulheres do Café do Matão cooperative, an initiative born in 2013 in Tomazina in the Matão region, in the north of the state of Paraná. A group of women farmers, united by their passion for coffee and their commitment to equality, have transformed small farms into true specialty coffee producers. Thanks to extensive training and collaboration with agronomy experts, they have been able to improve the quality of their production every year, until reaching remarkable levels of specialty coffee.

Cultivated using innovative permaculture practices, this coffee is the result of meticulous work, combining coffee, corn, beans and nitrogen-fixing herbs. The quality of the bean is improved throughout the seasons thanks to regular monitoring. Today, these women produce more than 300 bags of coffee each year, including micro-lots with unique processes. This coffee offers rich and complex aromas, the result of passion, know-how and an inspiring story. A perfect choice for lovers of quality coffee, carrying strong human and environmental values.

Flavors: Milk chocolate, stone fruit, grape.

Traceability: Producers’ cooperative in Tomazina (north of the Paraná region).

Ethics: The Mulheres do Café do Matão cooperative stands out ethically for its diversification of production and income. Composed of small farms of 1 to 15 hectares, the women farmers cultivate not only coffee, but also fruits, vegetables and sometimes raise animals, thus guaranteeing economic stability. The democratic model of the cooperative, where each producer has a voice, regardless of the size of her farm, promotes equality and solidarity within the group.
