Gera – Limmu, Ethiopia

A washed Ethiopian coffee, clean and vibrant

Gera is a washed coffee from the Limmu area in the Oromo region of Western Ethiopia. This high-altitude terroir (1,800–2,000 m) is known for producing balanced coffees with gentle acidity and clear, structured flavor profiles. Its stable climate and traditional cultivation practices give this coffee its distinctive clarity and elegant sweetness.

A network of committed smallholders

This lot is collected and processed by the team of Khalid Shifa, a key figure in the Jimma region. He works with more than 110 smallholder farmers, supporting them through training, quality control, logistics coordination and post-harvest follow-up.

The washed lots are certified by Ecocert at the green coffee level, ensuring that producers follow organic agriculture practices. As roasters, we preserve the integrity of this carefully prepared coffee through precise, gentle roasting.

Roast profile

We roast the Gera to a light–medium profile. This approach preserves the coffee’s natural freshness and aromatics while providing enough body and sweetness for a balanced espresso. A versatile coffee suitable for filter brewing and manual methods as well.

Flavor profile

  • Delicate vegetal notes
  • Honey
  • Grapefruit
  • Apricot

A clean, precise cup with refreshing acidity and a gently fruity finish.
